The rock dove, commonly referred to as a pigeon is approximately 13 inches long, with its colour varying from white to black and can live from 4 to 12 years. Spider infestations happen when the arthropods enter homes seeking shelter and food. While most spiders are harmless, some species bite defensively or have venom that can cause medically significant injuries to humans.

Wasps become nuisance pests when they start building expansive nests on or near homes. Their sting can induce a painful reaction, so large populations pose a medical hazard.

Wasps are also aggressive defenders of their nest and will repeatedly sting perceived threats.

Flies can become serious nuisance pests when populations spike around homes and businesses. They contaminate food with pathogens spread by landing and regurgitation/defecation habits. Flies reproduce rapidly and maggot infestations can develop from eggs laid on trash, manure, and carrion.

Fleas thrive when allowed to proliferate on pets and wildlife near homes. Their bites cause irritatingly itchy welts. Fleas transmit bacterial and viral diseases and may cause allergic reactions and anemia in extreme infestations.
